Regular Avebury visitor Brendan Cooper has made a version of this image which can be used in GOOGLE EARTH.

Google Earth is an amazing free utility that uses satellite imagery to allow anywhere on the planet to be explored in detail.

Until recently the image quality of the area surrounding Avebury was very poor so these versions offered a substantial

improvement. However the quality has now been upgraded condiderably.

I will continue to offer Brendan's images which can be used as an alternative if you so wish.

There are two versions of the images which can be used (large file or small file). If you are on a dial-up connection the
small version is a quicker download.....Once you have downloaded your chosen file just double click on it and it should
automatically open in Google Earth.
